Slat Wall Displays |
|
 |
 |
These are items that hook into standard slat
wall.
Typical slat wall is shown at left. Typical acrylic slat
wall tabs are shown at right -
manufacturers use a variety of configurations, thicknesses and lengths
for their displays.
Slat wall is often used in department stores. The "Z" shaped
tabs on the back side of the display items simply insert and rock into
place in the slat wall tracks. Slat wall can be
painted, coated, etc. Note: Some people laminate the surface of
their slat wall. If you do alter the thickness of slat wall
material, standard slat wall displays may not fit.

Grid Wall Displays |
|
 |
 |
|
These are items that hook onto standard grid
wall. Standard grid wall is shown at left. Typical grid
wall acrylic hooks are shown at right. These are typical grid wall hooks &
assume that you have set up your grid wall with the horizontal side as the
display side - manufacturers use a variety of configurations,
thicknesses and lengths for their displays.. If you need something special, call us BEFORE ordering so
we can work with you to get the right hooks.
Grid wall is very contemporary and versatile. Typical grid wall has
approximately 3/16in rods on 3in centers,
and the horizontal rods are on the side to be displayed on, but there are other configurations out there, so make sure you know what
you are ordering. The display item typically has some sort of hook type attachment on the
back side that simply hooks over the horizontal rods. In a few
cases, the manufacturer may be able to alter the hooks to meet your
specific type of grid wall configuration - the fees for this would be
calculated on a order-by-order basis.

board.
Standard peg board is shown at left.
Typical acrylic and metal hooks shown at right.
Peg board has been around for many, many years & is widely used in
stores, workshops, homes, etc. Typical peg board holes are 1/4in diameter and on 1in centers. The hooks on
the display item simply insert & pivot into place. Obviously
metal pegboard hooks can hold more weight than acrylic ones if
available. |

These are items that have holes drilled into them
so you can mount them to a wall.
You can see typical mounting holes in the photos at left. You
can use just about any hardware to mount these, such as the brass screw
shown at right. Unless specifically
listed, hardware is typically not included with displays. Obviously use caution if
mounting acrylic or plastic items to avoid damage to the display.
Mounting holes are typically 1/4in round holes, but may vary
depending on item - and some items may have tear drop shaped holes or
slot shaped holes. With some practice, you can drill
your own holes using glass/tile type drill bits available at most home
improvement or hardware stores. |
