This fine glass dome includes an attractive 1/4in (approx) thick black acrylic base.
The overall height measurement provided includes approximately 1/8 for the base. So to determine the height of the dome itself, simply subtract 1/8 inch from the overall height shown. The base is approximately 1/4in thick overall & there is a channel around the base for the dome to sit in.
