The Scrolling Lotus - Peony Chinese Coaster Rug - Set of Four Coasters
This interpretation is of one of the most stunning traditional Chinese carpet designs we have come across, this MouseRug image was developed from multiple resources in our design research. One rare original carpet owned by a private European gallery collector. The original, a Yamanka Lotus and Peony image from a daybed cover, is described as a mid-17th century Ningxia design wool pile creation. Lotus and peony flower image colors are brightly projected from the deep royal blue field in this MouseRug design, surrounded by a traditional geometric fret border design composed of the deep blue, a darker gold and dark orange fill colors.
