Front area holds either cup by itself or cup on saucer and the notched areas holds 3 plates.  Perfect for showing off 4 or 5 piece place setting in line.

Lapidarists could also use this.  Place a small piece of rough material in the front area and progressively bigger slabs where the plates would go.

NOTE - READ:  - - -This is sad that we have to post this notice, but because of just a few (literally FOUR) bad people, we felt it necessary.. There is no "one size fits all" dish holder - with all the countless shapes of dishes, obviously, not all will fit in this.   We have been selling this same display for many many years.  Out of the many thousands of collectors, stores, museums, etc. who have been buying this item - some repeatedly, we've had 4 individual people who wanted to blame us or the display because their dishes wouldn't fit.  If you buy the wrong display, it is not the display's fault.  Nor is it ours.
